Water Supply

The farm supply comes from a bore which is situated on the neighbouring property (Totara tanker track) approximately 8m deep with 50mm mainline to cowshed then 40mm and 32mm to troughs in all paddocks. A water easement is registered to take and convey this water.

Consent until 31st May 2035 for 71.8m3/day.

Effluent

Effluent can be applied to 114 hectares via low rate rain gun system/equivalent low rate irrigation system/umbilical system/slurry tanker. The standoff pad is for up to 100 cows between 1 July to 31 October, and can be used during adverse weather conditions.

Effluent from the dairy shed, tanker pad and main yard drain down to a concrete float-controlled sump, the main entry/exit area drains to its own concrete sump and then gravity feeds down to the main sump.
Effluent from the sump is pumped over to a solids pond and then gravity feeds through to the main clay lined pond (to be synthetically lined in summer prior to settlement. Underground hydrants to 57 ha, effluent applied via travelling rain gun.
