Water Supply

The water supply and power are shared with the neighbouring property (Miro) and the bore is situated in the boundary corner of paddock six, pumped to the cowshed via 63mm mainline. Six tanks at the shed, five for Matai and one for Miro. Water is pumped to the flats and reticulated around the hill block via 50mm mainline. Water is recycled at the shed by the cooler and all washdown is used for the flood wash at the main yard. An easement/water supply agreement is to be registered providing the right to convey water to Miro.

Water Consents

Consent until 31st May 2029 for 108m3/day.

Effluent

Effluent can be applied to 215 ha via low rate pods, low rate rain gun, high rate travelling irrigator, umbilical system and slurry tanker. Effluent to two sludge beds, then gravity to clay based pond. Applied via pods to approximately 37ha. A second line with hydrants to paddocks 34 to 38.

Land Use consent until 31 May 2035 for a loafing pad up to 120 cows between 1 May and 31 September and in adverse weather conditions.

Fertiliser

pH levels 5.8 - 6.3, P levels 29 - 53 as per soil tests. Fertiliser applied as per Ballance 2024 recommendation.
