Water Supply

There are two bores under one consent, the main bore is in paddock 10, pumped to cowshed and reticulated around the farm via 50mm and 40mm mainline. No. 2 bore is in paddock 19, reticulated via 63mm mainline to the cowshed. Water from both bores are pumped under pressure though an iron oxidiser before reticulation.

Effluent

Discharge consent until 31 May 2029 for 900 cows (1 August – 31 May) and a wintering barn up to 400 cows (1 April – 31 October).

Effluent can be applied to 218 hectares via low rate pods, low rate rain gun, high rate travelling irrigator, umbilical system and slurry tanker.

Dairy shed and barn effluent travels through individual weeping walls, pumped to a lined effluent pond. Effluent is applied via travelling irrigator.

Land Use consent until 31 May 2029 to reconstruct, maintain, and use a pond structure for the storage of agricultural effluent.
