Water Supply

There are two bores on the farm. Main bore situated near house is pumped to sand filter through to milking plant and stock water. There is a second bore for back up. Main bore is approximately 13 metres deep. The mainline around the farm is 40mm.

Water take is for 64 cubic metres per day and expires 31st May 2030.

Effluent

Gravity fed from cowshed to sand trap and sump, then to holding pond which has a stirrer. There is a kliptank also as part of the effluent system. Application is by way of low rate larral pods. Approximately 67 hectares are irrigated on the farm with risers to apply.

Effluent consent is for 430 cows and expires 31st May 2030. The effluent consent also covers the calving pad, tanker apron, concrete lead in lanes and any future silage pads or feed pads.

Fertiliser
