Irrigated Organic Dairy on Productive Soils

Riversdale and surrounds is known to have high-quality soils, and often a drier climate, but the irrigation installed on this property mitigates these issues and gives this farm enormous ability to perform to a high level.

Calving down 884 Organic A2 cows this season, the farm also wintered 200 cows this past winter. The 1,300 cow consent has room to lift current milking numbers and increase production, pending the financial benefits are there. This property has two 54 bail rotary sheds and is run as two separate farms. The five houses on the property give great staffing options. Calf facilities, implement sheds and various support buildings are suitable for the current use of the property.

Kowhai Pastoral is part of the Aquila certified organic farming portfolio which in total is 2,790 hectares milking 5,043 cows. A turn key business with all the management and systems in place ready for the next entity to take this business to the next level.
