Offered to the market is this 259 hectare dairy unit, situated on the Invercargill town boundary and adjacent to the Invercargill Airport.

The operation is currently peak milking 550 cows with a five year production average of 211,000kg MS from 659 cows under a grass only system. This farm has a full range of improvements and provides a 50 aside herringbone dairy shed with 30 sets of ACRs and 650 cow yard capacity. The effluent system has had significant investment and has been upgraded, with consent in place for 850 cows until 2025.

There are multiple farm buildings and sheds across the property, accommodation comprises a four bedroom main dwelling, three bedroom home and a single man's quarters. The farm is operated with a contract milker in place. Currently this operation is run in conjunction with a 131 hectare runoff 13km away, which is also on the market. Soil Types:

Predominantly Dacre and Grasmere with smaller area of Otakau and Jacobs to the east.

Water Supply

Water is supplied from ICC town catchment via 32mm mainline to predominantly 750 litre troughs in each paddock. There are three 25,000 litre holding tanks at the dairy shed, two of the tanks supply water to the farm and one is for shed use.


Farm trends cloud system. Effluent is gravity fed from shed to sand trap/wedge then gravity to holding sump then pumped to lined effluent pond with stirrer, underground hydrants around farm and applied over approximately 50ha with five maxi pods.
