Present Condition (areas approximate)

Approximately 20 hectares was in Fodder Beet winter 2025 which will be cultivated and regrassed. 25.5 hectares was also cultivated and regrassed in 2024/25 season. Water Supply

There are two bores on the farm. Main bore that supplies circa 80% of water is located by calf shed off tanker track. The second bore is in paddock 12. There is a filtration system for iron. There are two other bores on farm not in use.

Water take is for two litres per second and 111,600 litres per day, expires 29th August 2027.

House at 500 Winton Channel Road is off roof for water, all other houses from bore.

Effluent

From cowshed to stonetrap and into sump. Pumped from sump to stirring pond and pumped to solids seperator to a holding tank. Pumped from holding tank to effluent pond or kliptank.

The effluent pond applies effluent through two sets of maxi pod lines. The kliptank applies through a travelling irrigator.

Application area is 112 hectares for the maxi pods and 40 hectares with the travelling irrigator. All areas for applying effluent have underground hydrants.

Effluent consent is for 850 cows and expires 29th August 2027. Consent allows for winter milking 450 cows from 1st June to 31st July. Discharge to land of wintering shed housing up to 650 cows between 1st May and 31st August.

Fertiliser

Soil tests available on request. Very good fertility overall and applied in line with Ballance recommendations.
