There are two bores on the property for stock water and dairy shed use and one bore for homesteads water. Some iron is prevalent in the water and there is a filtration system at the cowshed. There are four 30,000 litre tanks at cowshed and most paddocks are double troughed. The water consent with ES is for 108,000 litres per day and due to expire in January 2027, vendors are in the process of renewing current consent.
Effluent is gravity fed from cowshed to saucer and then pumped to sludge beds and weeping wall for separation. Pumped to large holding pond which has a liner. Application of effluent is via a cobra gun via underground hydrants and covers approx. 90 hectares. The vendors are in the process of renewing the current effluent consent which is due to expire in January 2027 for 900 cows. Details will be available when available.
