Water Supply

Water for the property is sourced from a consented bore that is located by the cowshed and is approximately 5 metres deep. Water is pumped from the bore to the one of the three 30,000L tanks and then goes through a cooler before going into two other storage tanks. Water is pumped to troughs via 32mm – 40mm waterlines.
Water for the houses are also sourced from the bore with each dwelling having a pump and tank.

The permit authorises the taking of groundwater at the location specified above. The rate of abstraction from both bores shall not exceed:
(a) 1.4 litres per second;
(b) 96 cubic metres per day; and
(c) 35,000 cubic metres per year.

Effluent

Effluent from the dairy shed is gravity fed to two sumps where it is then pumped to Cliptank. It is spread via umbilical and underground hydrants that are located on the opposite side of the dairy shed and cover approximately 75% of that area.

Consent is for 800 cows and allows for effluent to be spread over 163 hectares. Expiry is in 2026 which the vendor is currently in the process of renewing.
