Dairy Unit with Scope

This entry level dairy farm at Mataura Island offers genuine scope to improve and develop further. With approximately 115ha of effective area, the farm currently milks 340 cows and has produced between 109,373kg MS and 117,032kg MS over the past two seasons, with all stock wintered off at the vendors' support block. The contour is rolling to medium rolling with some steeper gullies, and the property is subdivided into 40 paddocks with lane access and water reticulated throughout. Infrastructure includes a 36-aside herringbone cowshed, support buildings and a large calving pad beside the dairy shed. Effluent is managed through sludge beds feeding into a clay-lined pond, with low-rate pods applying to approximately 80ha. The modernised four-bedroom homestead offers open plan living, two bathrooms, a sunny deck and good heating. This property provides a platform with the ability to add value over time in a well-regarded farming district.
