Water for the farm is sourced from a spring below the house, feeding into a tank and pumped to the farm. A 63mm mainline runs up the center of the property to a main tank, branching into various-sized lines supplying troughs in all paddocks. The system is serviced by a pump located at the woolshed.
There are two additional tanks connected to the workshop roof, providing extra water storage for washdown and serving as a backup supply for the homestead if required.
House water for both homes is collected via roof catchment into tanks, with a backup supply available from the woolshed system.
Effluent from the wintering barn drains to a concrete weeping wall and gravity fed to a clay-lined storage pond. The effluent from up to 330 cows can be applied over approximately 249 hectares via an umbilical system and slurry wagon, with provision in the consent to utilise a pod system in the future. Effluent cannot be collected between 1 October and 30 April.
