The farm is assessed at 106 hectares effective. Post conversion in 2002, the property has now been regrassed twice with a mix of tetraploid and diploid grass. The property is all in grass due to the vendors owing a run-off located 2km from dairy farm, which allows cows to walk for wintering needs.

Water Supply

House water is from separate small bore.

Effluent

Effluent is collected from cowshed area and flows into a stone trap. From there, effluent is pumped to 25,000L tank onto a screw press for separation. Solids are collected in adjacent bunker and liquids to lined pond. Application to land is through six uni pods via hydrants and drag lines. 65% of farm is reachable via hydrants. Approx. 100 hectares of the property is consented to apply effluent

The calving pad drainage and underpass effluent is also directed to the stone trap. There is greenwash at cowshed.
