Fantastic opportunity for an equity manager and investors to purchase into a Fonterra supplied, existing dairy farm with stock and upside. The farm is located 10 minutes northeast of Gore in the Knapdale farming district. This 245-hectare dairy unit produces approximately 275,000 kg MS from 600 peak milk cows and benefits from a good balance of soils. Contour is flat to gentle, with the western end of the property rolling, there is a functional internal lane system.
Improvements include a 40-aside herringbone cowshed with in-shed feeding, a calving pad, and concrete silage pad. Three excellent larger homes are on the property, one of which underwent a major renovation last year. The property is consented for 700 cows.
Approximately 50% of the existing syndicate are looking to exit after 13 years of ownership. The remaining syndicate would like the incoming equity to include a hands-on equity manager and/or new investor.
There is opportunity to lift production and increase long-term value on this well-presented dairy unit. Information on share valuation, financial history, shareholder returns, governance, farming system, financial reporting, and other details is available to genuine interested parties. A 50% sale will be based on land and buildings at $36,000/hectare, with settlement date June 2027 (or by agreement). The 50% offering can be sold as one, or alternatively in smaller percentage parcels to more than one party. Contact sole agent Matt Harrington for further information and inspection.
