Present Condition (areas approximate)

Approximately 10.5 hectares is planted in Swedes. Balance of land is in pasture with one paddock of rough grazing. There has been approximately 10% of the farm regrassed in 2025/26 season. Good regrassing history overall.

Effluent

There is a sump at the cowshed and yard that gravity flows through a stone trap (diversion is located here) before flowing to a weeping wall and sludge beds for seperation. Currently irrigating approximately 30 hectares with hydrants and hoses. Application is by way of two sets of k-line pods. The discharge area with ES is approximately 202 hectares.

Effluent consent is for 990 cows and expires 31st May 2034.

Supplements

Previous seasons had been around 500kg DM/cow through the dairy shed to achieve the production. This meal mix is made up of PKE, Grain and DDG. In current 2025/26 season, around 1t DM/cow was fed.
